Dark Mofo
Another MONA post this week, except this time it wasn't actually at MONA. This was all down on Hobart's waterfront and it was so much fun! I won't go on and on, I'll just give you some photos to look at.

MONA
Helloooo again!
For anyone who doesn't know, MONA is the Museum of Old and New Art. It's located in Hobart, Tasmania and is quite controversial because of some of it's exhibitions. Personally, I really enjoyed it but I'd have to agree that it's, uh, kinda weird.

Social Media
Social media plays a massive role in all of our lives. I don't know where I'd be or what I'd do without it.
There are so many different types of social networking that all serve a different purpose and today I'll be showing you my favourites.
1. Instagram
Instagram is probably my favourite social media just because of the fact that it's so easy to use. For anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's basically a way of sharing photos.
This is my instagram account...
(For anyone who doesn't know what my bio means, it's a 5sos reference)
My all time favourite instagram account is @tashbonniface. Her pictures are always so colourful and I am in love with her style, definitely recommend chucking her a follow!
There are so many other accounts that I love so take a look through my following list to find some!
2. Tumblr
Tumblr is so diverse and caters for many different needs. I absolutely love working with coding and html (basically the look of the blog) and I've learnt heaps of cool tips and tricks (like adding falling unicorns!). The only downside is that it can be pretty hard to work out.
My recommendations for gaining followers on tumblr is to find one blog that you love the style of (whether it be indie, modern, fandom, etc.), and then follow the blogs that they reblog and so on.
My friend Kasey and I co own (kind of, I do most of it ;) a indie/bambi blog, dayzeih.tumblr.com.
Because I'm typing this on my iPad right now, I can only add a really bad screenshot of the computer site so please forgive me but you get the gist.
Also thanks for getting us to 100 followers on tumblr, especially from only starting it about 2 weeks ago!
3. Twitter
If you want to stay in the know about any celebrity, twitter is the place to go. This is the place where the drama happens and rumours are spread. I love twitter to death and I highly recommend it... if you're using it for a celebrity/band. I'm just gonna put it out there, to be really successful (follower wise) on twitter, you have to be a fan account (or famous).
I'm keeping this category short as I don't really want to put my twitter user or anyone else's on here.
4. Pinterest
Pinterest is inspiration. This is where I find DIYs, outfit ideas, room inspiration, etc. The app itself is pretty self explanatory, so I won't explain anything here. I actually only got Pinterest the other day, but I am in love with it!
This is my Pinterest account, @idcmaddy
I also recommend you follow, @freshlypickked (check out her instagram, same user, and blog, in her bio), @mayahello and @sophamandasmith (her blog is in her bio too).
So that's it for today, and I am so so so sorry it's late but I couldn't get to the spot where I wanted to take photos so I had to pick a new post idea. But the one I wanted to do will be up hopefully next week.
I hope you all enjoyed,
Maddy xx

What do I want to do with my life???
This question haunts me everyday. Even though I'm only the ripe age of 13 (bring on 14 in July), there is so much pressure on us young people to choose what we want to do with our lives early. I sure have big dreams and a million things I want to achieve, but do I really know what I want to do for the rest of my life when I'm not even a quarter through it?
A few months ago I thought I knew exactly what I wanted to do, be a graphic designer, but since then I've discovered so many other things that I really enjoy doing and now I'm kind of switching up between a few career options. As we're growing up our likes and dislikes are constantly growing and changing and that has an effect on what we want to do as a career, I mean no one wants to do something that they hate for the rest of their lives.
So these are some of the careers that I think would be super cool:
- a manager for a band or musician
- a youtuber
- a blogger (*wink, wink*)
- owner of a fashion label
- photographer for a magazine or fashion label
- editor of a magazine
- social media manager
In all honesty though, I have no idea what I want to do with my life. I'm only young and sometimes I have to remind myself of that because I do have a tendency to take on things that I shouldn't have to at my age.
My advice: take things slow, but also find things that you love to do, it'll help your choice in the long run.

5SOS CONCERT
Ahhh I'm soooo sorry I haven't posted in so long! I've just been procrastinating but I have a few post ideas lined up so keep an eye out for them.
Anyway, this post is about the day of the 5SOS concert and I have soooo much to tell you guys!
I went to the Melbourne concert with my 2 friends, Kasey and Laura (we flew over on Thursday night and the concert was on Saturday). Since the venue was directly across the road from Luna Park we went there in the morning and managed to go on about 2 rides before it started absolutely bucketing down with rain (we literally looked like we had had a shower). So we soon bailed on that idea and decided to go and wait outside the venue for 5SOS to arrive from the airport.
We probably waited around 3 hours but time seriously flew with all the fun we were having with everyone else waiting. Everyone was chatting and sharing all sorts of food around; from macca's to pizza and fairy floss. We even tried to make friends with the security guards!
No one even noticed their car coming up the street until they drove through the gates and then the eruption of screaming started. Ashton was the first one to get out of the car and he looked so happy to see all of us and was waving and smiling. He was wearing a tank top and it was like 10 degrees (Celsius)! And then Luke came out and he was wearing a snapback, don't even get me started on this. Luke, Calum and Michael were all wearing flannels and MICHAEL WAS WEARING A BEANIE. EXCUSE YOU MR CLIFFORD WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO CUTE? Alsoooooooo... CALUM WAS WEARING THE SAME BEANIE THAT HE WAS WEARING IN THE BUTT PIC MY LIFE IS COMPLETE.
To be completely honest I actually started crying after seeing them because I had actually seen them in person, less than 10 metres away, and it was completely different to seeing them in concert because it kind of hit you that they were actually real and they were just so normal. Like I can't explain how much they make me happy with their music and how genuine and kind they are. I don't know how but whenever I'm not feeling happy I can listen to their music or watch one of their videos and it immediately puts a smile on my face. They're something in my life that can never let me down and is always consistent.
Michael and Calum came out on the balcony a couple of minutes after they went inside and were eating bananas and threw some down to us. They went back inside and then Michael came back out with a couple of water bottles and threw them down, but the first one he threw hit one of the cars in the car park! You can't see it very well in this photo but basically this was his face after he hit the car.
When the door was closed Calum kept coming up to it and making faces through the window and it was so cute and everyone was screaming. Ashton came out and took a photo of us and put it on twitter (and you can see me in it!). I'm just behind the girl holding up the white box!
Calum came out again with his phone and was making an instagram video but it ran out of time as soon as he tried to film us.
We stayed there for probably another hour without them coming out so one of the mum's starting playing 5SOS really loudly from her car and everyone was singing along and having a great time. There was also 2 girls who had come out of hospital just to try and meet them so we all started chanting "5SOS meet Megan and Paige" to try and get them to come out. A couple of minutes after the chanting had died down we decided to make our way back to our hotel to get changed for the concert. We were near one of the cafe's down the road when we heard screaming and so we sprinted back to the venue to see what it was but we were too late! One of the girls filled us in that Michael and Luke had come onto the balcony for a bit but had to go back inside for soundcheck. We were a bit dissapointed but it wasn't that big of a deal as we had already seen all of them when they arrived.
I think we stayed for another 15 minutes before we really had to get ready for the concert and during that time we were all pressed up to the wall outside of the venue listening to their soundcheck. We had to be really quiet so the security guards didn't come and shoo us away!
We got to the venue about 30 minutes before the doors were opened so we could meet one of our friends from twitter who we were going to the concert with. Once the doors were open it was like a mad rush to get in and we had seating in the stalls which was actually pretty close to the stage so I was very happy!
Mike Dignam was the opening act and he was so good! He kinda reminded me of Ed Sheeran actually. Mike did around 5 songs before he left the stage and I really recommend checking him out.
I think 5SOS must of put together the playlist for the interval, because there was Stacy's Mom, some All Time Low, Teenage Dirtbag, etc. During a Nicki Minaj song one of the girls ran into the aisle and started twerking and dancing! Everyone was laughing and cheering her on until one of the security guards escorted her back to her seat (everyone booed him!).
Finally the lights went off and the blue stage lights started flashing around and you couldn't see the stage properly. We were chanting "5SOS" and all of this went on for about 2 minutes before they came onto the stage and went straight into Eighteen. This is one of my all time favourite songs and the perfect one to start off with.
They did Voodoo Doll, Teenage Dream (by Katy Perry), Heartbreak Girl, Heartache on the Big Screen, Out Of My Limit, Good Girls are Bad Girls, Lost Boy, Disconnected, Beside You, Amnesia (which they said would "maybe definitely" be on the new album) and finished off with She Looks So Perfect, or so we thought. After some more chanting they came back on stage with What I Like About You and finally, Try Hard.
Their performance was electric to say the least. The energy that they had on stage was amazing and you couldn't help but dance along.
When they stopped to talk for a bit Ashton decided that he wanted to give us a touchdown (look up Mark Holden touchdown if you don't know what it is) for being the best fans in the world. He gave us a drum roll and then the whole audience did one, which looked amazing all together!
During Amnesia a whole lot of the audience held up A4 pieces of paper with "THANKYOU 5SOS" on them and it was so cute. And during SLSP people were throwing clothes around to reenact the music video!
Overall it was 100% the best day of my life. I cannot believe that I had this amazing chance to see them live in concert and to see them in person, it was honestly the best thing that has ever happened to me.

The Standard
It's been soooo long since my last post and I'm so sorry!
A couple of weeks ago I was walking through town and I saw this alleyway with this really cool wall:
There was a sign at the end of it with "The Standard" written on it and a few people sitting down there. So I googled it when I got home and I found out that it's this cute litte burger place!
I decided that I had to go and try it out, so the next week (last Friday) my friend, Kasey, and I ventured down.
We didn't actually get any burgers, instead we ordered some milkshakes and fries. The milkshakes were literally heaven! Kasey got an oreo one and I got a Reece's pieces one (basically a peanut butter milkshake!), I swear to god I have never tasted anything better. And don't even get me started on the fries, they were so crunchy and delicious...
Kasey went back a couple of days later and tried the burgers and apparently they were really good too!
I'm so glad I was actually paying attention to my surroundings for once, I wouldn't have found it otherwise!
Here a few pics from our little adventure:
